If it got lost, stolen or broken?!
I don't mean the really practical things, such as the kettle or your bed.
But a non-essential item that you would struggle to be without.
Mine would have to be my Oodie. I got an actual branded one from Vinted and couldn't be more in love with it.
Even in summer, it comes in handy in a Scottish basement flat!
So what's yours?

If our robot lawnmower broke it would be replaced immediately - it has made such a difference not having to spend an hour and a half mowing the lawn every 3-4 days for 9 months of the year....... and the grass is so much better as it mulches and feeds the grass at the same time.
absolute joy not having to think about the chore of mowing especially when its lovely weather - can go home and just sit in the garden.

Which one do you recommend?

do you have to put guards around the beds to ensure stays on grass?

100% the dishwasher. The last one that broke, I replaced within 24 hours. I've always said it's what stops us getting a divorce. Grin Washing machine a close second.

I've multiple other things that I'd need to replace but I have others that can fill in.

I wear them every day

Dishwasher

Could live without TV, washing machine, even cooker for a bit but dishwasher would get replaced immediately

And Wi-Fi... we were without Wi-Fi for a week following the storms last year and it was surprisingly hard to do anything (banking, communicating with family, watching tv ...)

I'd say washing machine rather than dishwasher (can wash dishes myself but would not want to traipse to a launderette) but agree with the principle. And definitely WIFI too. Could not manage without it, so have two lines, one Virgin, one Plusnet/Openreach.

Phone. It has my life on it, I'd be helpless without it. Also, a ball I finally found for the dogs that they can't chew to bits. Priceless.

Noise canceling headphones. I spend far too long on public transport to not appreciate them.

Travel mug, for the same reason.

My wireless earphones. I adore them, one of my best ever purchases. I thought of my phone but i think that is classed an an essential really!

Not sure I can follow that but for me, other than phone, my dishwasher

Jofergo · 17/06/2022 21:02

I'm notoriously frugal but when I accidentally sat on my kindle last year and broke the screen I had a new one on next day delivery order within 10 mins.

(Fortunately I'd just had to buy one for my siblings birthday so I'd already researched what the best fit for my needs was).

AutieAdult · 17/06/2022 21:08

non essentials
A radio. Now have my phone but will always have a device that can get it.

Watch - even though I have my phone it’s just so easy to look at my basic watch.
