OP posts:
Thelnebriati · 18/06/2022 14:37

Alan Rickman and Sean Locke. I can't pick only one.

comfortablyfrumpy · 18/06/2022 14:47

Alan Rickman
Victoria Wood
Terry Wogan

drinkingwineoutofamug · 18/06/2022 14:49

Freddy mercury and layne Staley

oldperson1 · 18/06/2022 14:54

Victoria Wood really miss her on TV
Freddy Mercury didn’t appreciate what a great singer was when he was alive
Maeve Binchy really looked forward to a new book from her
Elvis Presley think he still had a lot of great songs to sing

DrDinosaur · 18/06/2022 15:00

Freddie Mercury - would love to hear what he would have created had he not died so tragically young.

CrumpetStrumpet · 18/06/2022 15:05

@iloveeverykindofcat Richey would have destroyed twitter!

I miss him every day :(

iloveeverykindofcat · 18/06/2022 15:39

@CrumpetStrumpet He might well consider today's world to be complete dystopia though. I was listening to Motorcycle Emptiness this morning and thought its truer now than ever.

Marilyn Monroe... I hope I could have been her best friend and somehow helped her😢 I just feel so sorry about her life and thought she was so beautiful. Feel so sad about how her life ended😢😢

Emoj · 18/06/2022 15:46

Freddie Mercury & George Michael

Tutchytutchyfeelyfeely · 18/06/2022 15:48

Also the lovely talented Freddie.. Watched him for the first time when he was on live aid and have been a fan since

GoldPig · 18/06/2022 15:49

Prince. I’m still so sad about it.

Subeccoo · 18/06/2022 15:50

Taylor hawkins.
Never been so heart broken upon hearing of a strangers death.
I'm lucky enough to be going to the tribute at Wembley but I wish it wasn't happening.
It's been 3 months and I still can't take it in.

LadyGrillingSole · 15/06/2022 13:51

Bowie. Still listen to him daily : (

Yep

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 18/06/2022 15:52

And Rik Mayall

tobi21 · 18/06/2022 15:54

David Bowie

Highlyquestionablehoumous · 18/06/2022 15:55

Freddie Mercury. I would have loved to have seen Queen live.

And like a PP said, it would have been so great to see what he would have done, and also see him at things like the Queens jubilee and for him just to still be 'always there'.

Jedsnewstar · 18/06/2022 15:56

Adam Yauch from the Beastie Boys.

Mostess · 18/06/2022 15:57

Jane Austen. I’d like her to know how much she is loved, because she didn’t have a great life.

romany4 · 18/06/2022 15:59

My 2 great loves
Freddie Mercury & Marc Bolan

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/06/2022 16:03

Winifred Holtby, author of one of my favourite books, South Riding. Like Jane Austen, she died far too young (37) from kidney disease, probably treatable now. She had much more to give.

George Orwell. Also died far too young (46). I'd like him to know how prescient 1984 was.

LakieLady · 18/06/2022 16:04

John Smith. He'd have been a much better PM than Blair.

ResentfulLemon · 18/06/2022 16:05

Freddie Mercury

Although Nikola Tesla should be first choice really. The man could solve the world's energy problems easily based on what he could do at the turn of the last century.

Ilikeviognier · 18/06/2022 16:05

Terry Wogan. Loved his Eurovision commentary.

LightDrizzle · 18/06/2022 16:07

John Peel
Freddie Mercury.

SummerPuddings · 18/06/2022 16:10

George Michael.
