To think Elton John performing Candle in the Wind was a bit wierd??

I just thought it was an odd choice given that he performed that song at Diana's funeral? Must bring back unhappy memories for the royals surely?

He did re-release it with new lyrics in memory of Diana:

I did think in the first few bars it was candle in the wind..relieved it wasn't

To be fair to OP the instrumental at the start sounded similar & I thought it was going to be Candle in the Wind.
