To say 6.5 inches is too big

Why are there so few smartphones available in a smaller size? I am trying to find a phone under £300 with a screen closer to 5 inches but nearly everything is 6.5inches these days. Surely I am not the only person to want to carry around a compact phone and not a borderline tablet device?

Money ready to spend and nobody that I can see has a product that I am looking for. Can anybody recommend a phone? I only need to get rid of my current phone because after 5 years the battery life is near on zilch.

It's more the girth, width that I find hard to manage

I did not expect this to be about phones!

I've continued to read this as if it still isn't about phones 😉 😂

I am so disappointed in this thread. I had lots to say when I thought we were going to talk about dicks.

I've got a samsung galaxy a20 and I love it. Battery life generally lasts me 3/4 days. I thought it would be too big for me but I haven't had an issue with it at all and has everything and more that my iphone had

Hm

Oh goodness, how deflating is this thread?!

Emmelina · 04/06/2022 22:24

Can you make enquiries at a phone repair shop re changing the battery for you?

Nice turn of phrase, there...

The most recent iPhone SE isn't as small as the original SE. I wish I'd waited and got a 12 mini instead.

I get very pissed off that the default human is a man. It's not like my money is worth any less to them because I have teeny tiny hands. I pay the same and I should get what I want.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 04/06/2022 22:49

Not gonna lie I thought this was about something else.😂

SpaceJamtart · 04/06/2022 22:55

The google pixels are often small, especially the 4 and 4a and they are midrange phones so are in pproce range

Well I'm most disappointed this is about mobile phone sizes!!

littleburn · 05/06/2022 00:00

You're such a tease OP! 😁

TokenGinger · 05/06/2022 00:00

If you so happen to be based in Greater Manchester (I know it's a long shot), I use a company called SA Mobile Repairs for battery replacements. I think it cost £60 to do, or possibly less, that might have been the price for replacing the screen when I smashed it.

The phone was like brand new once it had the new battery.

Me too 🤣

I mean you can buy the batteries and the kit to replace online. I’ve changed a few of the older iPhones batteries just be careful when putting the screen back on.
