Quick and easy to make, cheap, can be eaten as a light meal or with a few chips/jacket potato for a more substantial meal.
I just had a cheese one with some salad, Mmmmm.

Especially nice if you whisk the whites as for a meringue and fold into whipped yolks, a tbs of Creme fraiche and add snipped chives. Serve with a tomato and avocado salad and a couple of slices of mozzarella if you have it. Very fresh.

Omelettes are brilliant. I like mushroom, or cheese and chives.

A chicken omelette with fried rice and a carton of curry is one of my favourite things to get from the chippy. If making them myself I just have them plain. Love them.

A big yes to omelettes! Given the rising food prices, am eating at least one egg-based meal most days.

Favourite include one using leftover pasta (usually fusilli), sautéed onions with red bell pepper and chilli flakes, oregano, finished with and lots of grated parmesan and finely chopped parsley. The others is onion and spinach sautéed in turmeric, a few tablespoons of pilau (or Waitrose carrot and spinach) rice added to the beaten eggs and finished with freshly milled garam marsala spices.

Yeah all chippies in my area are also Chinese takeaways. Think it's just a Liverpool thing.

Omelette made with chilli cheddar. Or chucking some flaked chillis in. Game changer for those of us who struggle to eat 'eggy' dishes. It's not suddenly spicy with the chilli but it is far less sickly.

Not for me, makes me feel a bit nauseous after a few bites. I'm not really an egg fan at all though. I'd rather have beans on toast.

Not just omelettes. Eggs generally. So quick and delicious. Except fried eggs. They are horrible.

The best ones are the ones I have on holiday in France. Maybe its the Kir I have with them that makes them perfect though!

we have a fantastic cafe near us that does one with any fillings but the best is sausage and has brown bits feels so naughty 😈

Omlette, but on a Saturday/Sunday with leftover kebab meat. Or left over saag aloo. Not both together obvs I’m not a complete hethan.

I love omelettes, but I've not had one for ages due to DH ruining the non-stickness of my best omelette pan by cooking something on high, then wandering off to watch youtube and forgetting it until he smelled smoke.
