Why do people post this? If you don’t believe a poster, report them. Troll hunting is tedious for everyone. It is as tedious as posters who fancy themselves as a trainee Miss Marple. Cross examining the OP to an absurd degree to try and pick holes in their post. People have the option to report and should leave it at that.

Hello everyone and thanks for your thoughts. We don't think troll hunting is worse than trolling - but in some circumstances it can be just as damaging.

Troll hunting breaks our guidelines because trolls really love it when you troll hunt - they do, it gives them a kick and they need to get those kicks where they can. But, most importantly, when someone is genuine and in a desperate situation, a load of posts calling bullshit can be pretty devastating. We've have seen this happen many times and, frankly, it's awful.

Some times it's really obvious someone is trolling, other times not so much. We'd prefer it if you report to us rather than air your suspicions on the thread. These posts will be deleted if reported to us and repeat offenders may be banned.
