My ex boyfriend who dumped me wished to remain friends. He said he did not have feelings for me anymore. I did not speak to him really after that.

He has now messaged me to meet up to go for a drink next week.

Why?

He could have an STD?

Either he wants a shag, or he has to tell you what he found out at the STD clinic....

Why on earth would it be unreasonable? Pretty straightforward decision. Block him, ignore him, tell him to fuck off into next week - do what you like. You don't need to seek validation for this kind of thing. Nobody is obliged to give an ex (or anyone else) a moment's thought or time if they don't want to.

Much as it galls me to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who upset you, in fairness, ending a relationship with you if he felt the feelings had gone doesn't make him a wrong 'un. It's not like he cheated. It's remotely possible he has decided he made a mistake. Which is probably too bad for him if you've moved on, but I admit I'd be curious.
