For a country which is apparently hated! I don't usually care much for Eurovision, but enjoyed it this year!

(I know not everyone thinks that, but there seems to be high numbers of people that don't seem to have figured that out)

Sam Ryder did us proud - the lyrics of his song about going home will have resonated in different ways with different people. His performance was excellent and he's popular across Europe, not just in the UK. As others have posted, for too many years we've half-heartedly entered crap songs and taken the piss. I'm glad Ukraine won, their song is only other entry I can remember and it's a show of solidarity.

If anyone saw Sam Ryder return to the UK, you'll have seen he and his girlfriend were wearing pink bucket hats. Slava Ukraina!

I think we havent really sent songs that fit with the concept of Eurovision in the past. Money was spent this time creating it which clearly worked

We have sent songs similar to Germany/France/Switzerland this year. The difference for us is that we dont have a best friend so to speak who will throw us some pity points so we have ended up on nil points rather than a handful. This time no one did because of that.

We need to have a really good song in order to win rather than a good song pushed forward by close friendships.

Out of 40 countries entering and voting, what impact do you think "close friendships" would have? This is a nonsense argument as success is down to having a strong song which has broad appeal and is well-marketed.
