AIBU to think that this is just a sprain?

I fell down a step or two at work and fell on my foot. My colleagues say I should get it checked and so does my family.

However, I think it's just a sprain from the trauma of falling on it and that I don't need to go to hospital.

Anyone had anything similar?

It has swollen a bit more than when it first happened and it does hurt to walk on it, but I'm not crying or anything

@DuckZilla I hope she has a speedy recovery!

Did they give her crutches?

I've not gone into work today as I can't really walk on it and I'm finding the crutches to be quite tiring.

I'm WFH this week so hopefully I feel a bit better next week when I do go back in.

Well, I badly sprained my ankle for the first time in 2014, failed to get any treatment for it until weeks later and I now have a wholly unstable ankle, go over on it frequently - even in boots - and it's painful at night when lying down..... So basically, do it properly!

A bad sprain usually takes longer to heal than a broken bone, so expect a good few weeks of this.

This was my most recent sprain - I was on crutches for three weeks.

Ouch. That looks painful too.

Have you tried physio?

Hi All,

So, my swelling has gone down quite a bit but for some reason the top part of my foot has been going a bit blue, it started going blue around 3ish days ago and I feel like it's gotten even more blue, is this normal?

Thanks

Do your toes still feel warm? If you take your nail varnish off and press your nails, do they return to pink in seconds?
