To think there is nothing more adorable than a baby in a baby grow

When DS was a baby my mum used to nag me to dress him in all the lovely clothes people had bought for him (we were ridiculously spoiled with gifts)

but, I think babies just look like the cutest thing ever in wee babygrows!

Babygrows are lovely. But some people talk about normal baby clothes like they're some form of torture. One year olds do not need to be protected from the abuse of a seam / button.

Totally agree!!!!

Pure white babygrow and a rustling nappy bum.

My uterus is aching 🤣

YABU. A cat in a baby gro is much cuter!

Or a greyhound in PJs.

avocadotofu · 13/05/2022 20:47

I totally agree! Comfortable and cute a win win in my book!

I was just thinking on my run yesterday how I remember my eldest daughter in a dark pink babygro and she kept sticking one toe out 🥹 I hope I never forget

I’m not a Harry styles fan, but that photo is just lovely!

That's all my DD wore for her first year. I couldn't imagine anything worse than trying to put clothes on a baby.

My baby could crawl at 5 months and there was nothing worse than chasing a very fast baby trying to do up all those poppers 😂 Vest and leggings all the way here.

Interestingly, I know what feels like squillions of babies and don't think I've ever seen one in a plain white sleepsuit as is so often mentioned on MN.

MrsJBaptiste · 13/05/2022 21:06

Mine were in babygros for bed until they were 2 😊 I hated pyjamas on them and wanted to hang onto the babygros for as long as possible!

They're now 16 and 18 and spend most of the weekend in pyjamas and not babygros!

Minniem2020 · 13/05/2022 21:26

Totally agree. All 3 of my babies have came home from hospital in a white babygrow and a white knitted cardigan. With my 1st DS I kept him in babygrows for at least 6 months

Bunnycat101 · 13/05/2022 21:53

Just looked back at the baby photos and both of mine look a bit ridiculous in the baby grows as newborns as they were a bit too big on them but by about 3 months they looked lovely in them. By 6 months I think they were looking cuter in outfits. The absolute loveliest thing was a Christmas reindeer fluffy onesie.

Nothing worse than seeing tiny little babies dressed in hard clothes, like jeans. A lovely soft baby grow every time.. so cute..

knowinglesseveryday · 13/05/2022 23:07

I used to dress mine in those soft loose long white nighties during the first few weeks, as they are the absolute cutest, and easier to change. Baby grows for outdoors.

That was my thought too. Can't imagine having much skin left after puttinga cat in a babygro 😀😀

Ah, well, you use them after the cat has had surgery (to stop them pulling their stitches out) so you get them into it while they are still woozy.

The downside is that they are legend at getting out of them!

Mamai90 · 14/05/2022 01:23

I agree.

But I was made to feel like a lazy parent for dressing my 4 month old 'in pyjamas'.

Dauncets · 14/05/2022 01:28

Babies look gorgeous whatever they're wearing. I loved dressing mine up and I loved them in babygros too. I remember taking ds2 out in his pram wearing his first pair of jeans and my teenage neighbour was all 'wow, that's so cute, he looks like a DUDE'. I preened! Blush
