To think there is nothing more adorable than a baby in a baby grow

When DS was a baby my mum used to nag me to dress him in all the lovely clothes people had bought for him (we were ridiculously spoiled with gifts)

but, I think babies just look like the cutest thing ever in wee babygrows!

It's important to be comfortable

At any age but especially babies

AyeEee123 · 13/05/2022 11:34

Mine wore babygros and knitted cardigans for about 3 months, they looked so adorable and much comfier than proper clothes.

merryhouse · 13/05/2022 11:35

I agree. They're so delightful.

And they look like little rabbit skins hanging on the line Grin

sorry sorry sorry

Sirzy · 13/05/2022 11:36

Yes especially a pure white baby grow.

I have never understood the rush to “dress” babies.

DressingGownofDoom · 13/05/2022 11:38

My baby is ten months and I would still have her in babygrows daily except she needs her feet out for cruising! Must get some footless rompers.

NannyR · 13/05/2022 11:39

Oh yes, a white babygrow with a little hand-knitted cardigan on top, no need for little babies to wear anything else!!

Antarcticant · 13/05/2022 11:39

YABU. A cat in a baby gro is much cuter!

minipie · 13/05/2022 11:39

Babygros are awesome

WRT your thread title though, kittens and puppies are definitely cuter than human babies (yep including my own!)

JerkintheMerkin · 13/05/2022 11:39

That's all my DD wore for her first year. I couldn't imagine anything worse than trying to put clothes on a baby.

minipie · 13/05/2022 11:40

Ha, cross posted Antarcticant

I liked floaty dresses and leg warmers or baggy, harem-style pants with long sleeved vests but my baby was in a pavlik harness so didn't fit in babygros. We used nightshirts for bed and outfits for in the day.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 13/05/2022 11:42

Yes definitely. DD is my only and I did get her some little outfits but if I had another I would just have baby gros

Change123today · 13/05/2022 11:43

My first was a sickly baby - all those lovely clothes had about 5 mins wear before she covered them with sick. So with my second I didn’t bother buying anything other than babygrows - she lived quite happily in them for up to 6 months old I then bought basic leggings /tops - nice and easy to roll around in and learn to crawl in :)

My Mum used to complain I hadn’t dressed her for the day, I would dress her with clean baby grows in the morning. My daughter is now 12 and it hasn’t affected as a baby not being dressed for the day in dresses etc 😂

antidisestablishmentarianism · 13/05/2022 11:45

i agree, but they must be footless ones so complete access to yummy baby feet...

IKnewPrufrockBeforeHeGotFamous · 13/05/2022 11:45

Well there are cuter things in the world but yes they’re the nicest clothes for babies

nearlyspringyay · 13/05/2022 11:47

A baby in a plain white babygro is very cute

Presumably you have a first aider on hand while trying to get them into it.

CluelessHamster · 13/05/2022 11:47

I agree. I did put DS1 in little outfits from early on but DS2 and DD were in babygros and cardis for as long a possible because I wanted them to stay little babies for as long as possible! Sometimes I'd put an outfit on them if we were going to visit the giver of the said outfit but I'd always change them back into a babygro once we were home 🙂

toastofthetown · 13/05/2022 11:48

Dress your baby in what you want. Taste in clothing is subjective, o it's not a surprise the same goes for baby clothes. But this is way cuter than a baby in a baby grow.

Eightieschildren · 13/05/2022 11:52

When my son was tiny he was dressed every day. I thought leaving your child in a baby grow was lazy. He’s an adult now and if I had my baby parenting time again I’d totally go for comfort for him rather than do what I thought looked best. Now I think anything that keeps them looking tiny and comfortable is definitely best.

GreyTS · 13/05/2022 11:55

Oh god yes 🙌 chubby baby in a babygro, little fat wrists poking out, I just die 😍 poor DD1 was constantly dressed in outfits, got loads of pressies. Lucky DD2 lived in comfy babygro's and cardi's ....delicious

Minesril · 13/05/2022 11:55

Nah
Toddler in a baby grow plus soft toy being dragged by little hand

I think a baby sitting in a bubble bath, covered in bubbles with a. Big toothy grin runs a close second
