Is this a sign I should step away from the forum? Am I being unreasonable (and grumpy) or are these honestly reasonable questions?

I can’t tell if I am being very intolerant or not.

I read topics on here, and I wonder if the authors are honestly, really, asking the question because the answer seems to obvious?

”AIBU not to want to invite my sister’s mother in law to my wedding when she spat at me at Christmas?

“AIBU to be annoyed with my husband who hasn’t changed a nappy in four years and who doesn’t know where the washing powder is?”

”AIBU to say no to looking after the neighbour’s five kids and six dogs every night?”

”AIBU to eat dinner alone?”

so, why do people ask these questions? I don’t come across these people in real life who seem to require such a level of reassurance from strangers on the internet.

Always a disappointment when it starts:

Not AIBU but posted here for traffic.

YANBU. I always think a lot of threads like that are either started by trolls trying to concoct a story/ situation that will get a lot of replies or if they are genuine they’re only started because the OP is either really bored or a bit lonely and just looking for people to talk to about something rather than because they are actually questioning whether they’re reacting reasonably to the situation.

Everyone deals with life based on their own knowledge, experience and understanding. Not everyone has the common sense, esteem, intelligence, boundaries to know what the right thing to do is. That's why mn is so popular because people can get an anonymous opinion . And yes sometimes they really know they are not being unreasonable but they need to hear it, maybe because no body in real life will tell them.

My pet hate is:

AIBU to be devastated?

Probably not but put a bloody clue in there e.g "DH's affair" or "Bereavement" or "Got second choice Primary school".
