Is it better to spoil your paper or just not vote?

I am really struggling with deciding who to vote for tomorrow in the local election. To be honest, I can't bring myself to vote for any of them. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to make an impact. Would a low voter turn out send a message or would it be better to write exactly what I think of them all on my paper?

Yabu = don't vote
Yanbu = spoil your paper

It's about personal choice, isn't it? I think it's always better to vote or to spoil your ballot with a clear protest message than not to vote at all.

I posted upthread about the campaign for justice following the disappearance and death of young Noah Donohoe. Some voted for 'justice for Noah' by spoiling their ballots with those words, often in bright blue marker pen and with a blue heart, as a protest against all the politicians for their limited or lack of support as previously said. Some voted for the candidate or party they thought most likely to support his mother Fiona in the future even though not enough has been committed to so far. While doing so some even wore a Noah Donohoe Foundation jersey!
