So I have been WFH this morning and was lay on the bed taking a call and my DH came behind me and poked me up the rear really hard. I completely flipped as it really hurt!

It's disrespectful. Regardless of where you were taking a work call he shouldn't have invaded your space. Also shouldn't have poked you, especially as he obviously did it too hard.
My dh got a bollocking (from me) for being a twat when I was in a zoom meeting. Albeit it was book club
I don't want to see him dancing around, baring his bum and trying to be hilarious when I'm socialising on zoom.
Ask him how he'd feel if the shoe was on the other foot?

I would give him a good Father Ted kick up the bum when he is least expecting it and tell him to quit with the pokes in future. Does he think he is funny or that you enjoy it.

What kind of work do you do that involves a phone in bed and being in a position where your rear is pokable?

Am I the only one thinking this is completely inappropriate?? And if he is doing this to you then what about your children? Behaviour is learnt and if they see him doing this and think it’s acceptable it could lead to them doing it to others as well

No, wouldn't appreciate that at any time, but definitely not when I'm speaking to someone on the phone in "professional mode". It was a stupid thing to do.

This thread is very confusing. What do you actually mean by 'up the rear' because to me that reads that he literally inserted something into your back passage. I think the semantics are causing confusion as I would expect 'on' the rear or 'on my bum' or something...there doesn't seem to be much by way of explanation. There is a world of difference between prodding your bum cheek and inserting his finger, although you keep reiterating that it hurt so in any case he needs a bollocking

@felineweird ‘up the rear’ is pretty clear, it means INTO her bum, not in her bum cheek.

She says she was dressed though...goodness knows!

I was really confused by the responses and had to go back and read the OP again because I was convinced it had said he poked her in the ear. I couldn't work out why people were asking if she was clothed

I was clothed but only had thin pants on so yes his finger went in quite fat and it hurt. I was also on the phone so it really took me by surprise. I’ve calmed down now anyway.
