Long story short..
We were due to go during Covid but it was cancelled.
It's a few days in a sunny resort.
My kids dad won't help me out with minding them.
They are 18/14/12.
I'm dying to go. I am tired and my sister has offered to help out during day eg bring my youngest two on activities with their family and my partner of nearly two years has offered to stay at night to ensure the children's safety .
The children will be on summer holidays.
Eldest will be working.
Second child is happy to hang out with friends but youngest needs security and structure.
I'd love to go but wonder if it's selfish of me and just too much hassle.
I'm wrecked from life generally.
It would be such a lovely rest and a chance to rediscover who I am after a horrid few years .

As long as your children feel comfortable with your partner and are happy with the arrangement i would go

My husband and I did this over the Easter weekend. We spent Fri-Mon in France, and our two kids stayed at home alone for the first time ever. My eldest Dd is 17 (18 in July) and my youngest ds is 11. They had an absolute whale of a time. DD's boyfriend stayed over (although I gave her strict instructions for no shenanigans), and her and ds slept together in my bed as he is very much a mummies boy and I worried he would be really upset. Nope. When we got back he said "I did miss you.......but we also had fun too!" It did them both the world of good. DD is off to uni in Sept and it gave her a much needed taste of freedom, but also management for the house. Ds as said is a mummies boy, still scared of the dark and coped brilliantly. They cooked a couple of nights, and we left money for pizza another, ds made the beds every morning which he was very proud of, the house was spotless when we got back and I was so proud of them. DH and I had a wonderful time, and although I was worried and upset when we left Friday morning (because DS got upset) by mid morning Fri when I spoke to them again he was totally fine and remained that way for the rest of the weekend. They all went out for the day on the saturday to the beach and pier, got ice creams, played mini golf and relished having no adults around.

Do it! Honestly it will do you so much good and you will find it will probably do your kids good too!

@SicParvisMagna that is so sweet and great they got a long. I bet they loved having the house to themselves too and I'm sure you and your husband were refreshed as well.
