Why do some people think the whole street should be subjected to their music/radio taste and why can't they just put headphones on!!
That is all.

My twatty neighbours have a home built pizza oven. Yesterday evening the smoke coming out of the chimney was a bleeding health hazard.

My neighbour, young girl about 19/20 deems it acceptable to absolutely blare her music .. windows wide open .. shouting.. physical fighting.. stench of weed.. and I live above her and it is an absolute nightmare. No matter what time of day or night it is the windows are opened wide with her constant screaming/arguing with her pals and the music blaring. It's like living above a squat.

I don't mind music played at an acceptable volume, ie no louder to everyone else than other neighbourhood noise, such as garden tools or kids playing. Personally, I prefer to listen to music indoors, on decent equipment, but horses for courses.
But the educators, and the morons, who want to blast it at you so that it's louder than you'd have it if you were playing it in your own house...just fuck off. And double fuck off into a well if you keep repeating the same tune, as if there's nothing else on your playlist.

I can’t stand loud music/singing/instruments i think it’s so rude to assume people want to hear it to makes me even more annoyed when people say ‘how lucky your neighbours must be your so talented’ but then people probably can’t stand my toddler screaming and having hissy fits so I can’t complain 😅

So long as it's not too late or early I am not bothered.

I didn't need to put any music on for the kids in the garden as a neighbour had theirs on whilst gardening. Saved me some leccy.

That's great. For you.

@GoFishandChips

I'm in my garden with the speaker on (by myself at the moment). Before you all start yelling at me and calling me selfish etc, a) I don't give a shit

There's your answer OP.

Well done for cutting out the second bit where I said, and I quote, b) it's not loud: you can't hear it at the top of the garden. In fact, it wasn't audible outside of the summerhouse.

I live on a council estate though where, according to mn, it's full of lager swilling louts who set off massive bonfires at the drop of a hat and don't know how to talk to each other without shouting so it's fine.

babymidgetgem · 16/04/2022 20:01

This is our neighbours, so we have taken to singing along (badly, with the wrong words) they seem to get bored very quickly when we do this...

CircusBaby · 16/04/2022 20:17

And so it begins..

Next it'll be neighbours kids making a noise in their own garden.

Then it'll be neighbours bbq wafting over the fence.

Then probably neighbours got a little fire aibu to report them?

Not to mention neighbours dogs are playing in the garden and occasionally... yapping!!

Do some of you have nothing better to do than whinge about how other people go about their lives?

Labscollie · 16/04/2022 20:20

It's the thump thump thump sound that I can't stand. As with tradesmen, some ppl can't do any job without having music playing.

Peoplepissmeoff · 16/04/2022 20:28

@NellesVilla

When the sun comes out, the scum come out.

Loud, revolting people- one of the main reasons I dislike summer weather.

Totally agree, the good weather seems to bring out all the morons. I hate warm summer days for this reason.
Peoplepissmeoff · 16/04/2022 20:29

@GettingStuffed

My husband is guilty of this, he sees it as musically educating the neighbours
Your husband is a selfish arse. How about educating him on having some decent manners and consideration?
StoneofDestiny · 16/04/2022 20:49

Only a moron would play music outdoors or indoors so loud it disturbs their neighbours peace and enjoyment of their home.

What has the sun shining got to do with it?

Having a garden doesn't give anybody carte blanche to wreck other peoples enjoyment of their garden. It's about consideration for everybody's rights and entitlements - not a selfish 'I can do what I want because I'm a moron".

Must be lovely to enjoy your garden without the boom boom boom of someone else's music. If however for any reason you are in the position where you can't, please don't moan about it. That's basically what you're saying? Be happy and rejoice in the fact that someone else is choosing a noisy soundtrack to your day whether you like it or not.

Other sounds like kids playing and dogs and road noise are normal. Loud music isn't.

StoneofDestiny · 16/04/2022 21:41

Good neighbours don't light fires in their garden, that force people to shut their windows and take their washing in. They take their crap to the tip.
Loud music is totally unnecessary - can people seriously imagined the unleashed hell in neighbourhoods if we all did that?
