Privatising Channel 4 is a terrible idea. I hope it doesn’t work out.

Maybe she had a point with Reginald D Hunter. Your quote is from 2012 - here is Reginald D Hunter in 2013;

At a show in Aberystwyth at the end of October, a woman called Jo Cooper, a woodlands project manager, walked out in apparent disgust, largely over his reliance upon the word “bitch”, and later vented that disgust on Facebook. She cited the “misogyny and violence” of his set, which was, in her summation, “a rambling, offensive, arrogant mess.” Hunter swiftly responded in kind. Referring to her as “Ms Chastity Fearbucket” and himself as ...

it's merely proving that stopped clocks are sauce for the gander when their backs are to the wall

Reginald D Hunter is the unfunniest 'comedian' I ever wasted my money on to see live.

His chosen touring support act was even worse. Some bloke with a massive chip on his shoulder. Embarrassing. The audience wasn't happy.

It's funnier than Reginald D Hunter.

I didn't know this, video clip in tweet

A reminder that the first time Nadine Dorries came to public prominence was when she appeared in this Channel Four documentary about fundamentalist Christians.

She's my MP. Unfortunately, and has been for some time. I can think of nothing positive to say about her term in office.

The words organise and brewery spring to mind.

She knows fuck all about culture, that's for sure. IACGMOOH isn't exactly high art, is it? Once she's done with tinkering with telly, God knows what she'll do with museums, galleries and theatres, and whatever else. As for her god-awful 'novels', I'd like to know where she finds the time to write them, because she really ought to spend less time doing that and more time listening to her constituents.

Piggywaspushed · 05/04/2022 17:55

She's my MP too. Solidarity!

Piggywaspushed · 05/04/2022 17:58

One of her more recent constituency tweets saw her spell the name of two places in her actual constituency wrongly. She was literally standing at a station sign of one of the places in the photo...

I have also had the dubious pleasure of meeting her a few times. That permanently checking for an escape route look is longstanding.

SantaHat · 05/04/2022 18:00

She is everything that’s wrong with our government.

PyjamaFan · 05/04/2022 18:02

She only seems to be interested in posting selfies. Very strange and unprofessional behaviour. I don't think she actually understands how to do her job properly.

I agree that ND is awful and Channel 4 should not be privatised but do you really think Ch4 newscasters are impartial? Really? I watch CH4 news every week night and am a great fan of it especially their foreign news reports.
