In American and Canadian English, tidbit is the preferred spelling of the noun referring to (1) a choice morsel or (2) a pleasing bit of something. Titbit is preferred everywhere else. Neither spelling is right or wrong.

Tidbit is the US form of the correct version : titbit.

Used to be titbits but changed over the years to tidbits.

I'm old enough to remember there used to be a magazine 'Titbits' which was a family gossipy-type - all innocent if I remember rightly and was around for many years.
