I'm 35 and now can't get away with plucking the odd hair. Stupidly used a razor once and it's grown back stubble under my chin.

I have fine hair on upper lip that don't bother me too much and seem to respond ok to the at home waxing, but the thick black stubble hairs under/on my chin just stay where they are and I can't see/have time to pluck them out one by one (there are a lot 🙈)

Any recommendations? Are some waxes better than others? Thank you

Have them lasered at a reputable salon - my sister did and has been hair free for years. I couldn't afford it when I was younger and now they grow through grey the treatment doesn't work so I've missed the boat.

@GarlandsinGreece

A daily cup of spearmint tea really does reduce facial hair.

And laser hair removal is fantastic.

Have you seen a noticeable difference? I love spearmint tea but didn't see any difference.

I’ve tried hot wax, tweezers, spring thing, electrolysis (now have pock marks from the needle 🙄 ), shaving and professional wax.

I now use snipped sections of immac leg strips and tweeze the thick chin hairs and it’s the best yet (for me).

Someone please bring back masks 🤣

I've always used hair removal cream without a problem

MrsTJOsbornee · 31/03/2022 19:42

I had electrolysis on my chin and under chin. Am in 'maintenance' now. It's been great for me. Doesn't hurt too much. I was using a tweezer a lot and ended up with loads. I am fair and so laser wouldn't work for me.

Threading.I am lucky that I can thread myself so will go over my chin and upper lip when ever I need to.

HappyAsLarry2022 · 31/03/2022 19:48

@chinnychinchilla I thread my face myself. It’s the cheapest and best option that I’ve found, it’s easy when you get the hang of it, YouTube videos show you how.

Wear a face mask and let the buggers grow until they're about 7mm long. Then get the lot waxed off. Or just use a Philishave - it gives better results on a daily basis and the skin is far less traumatised.

Ruthietuthie · 31/03/2022 20:12

Electrolysis is the best way, I've found.
Yes, it might take a few sessions, but it works - and not only on dark hair, but on those coarse white ones too.
Before electrolysis I was plucking every day, plus threading, and I had lots of break-outs from where the hairs tried to pierce the surface but couldn't. My chin depressed me, as every time I touched it I could feel the spiky hairs. Now it is perfect. Problem solved.
