Did Covid make you feel sick?

I’ve tested positive for Covid and my main symptom is nausea? I feel really sick and upset tummy. I have other symptoms like sore throat, blocked nose etc.

Anyone else?

I don't know if I had Covid but I had weird symptoms, and DH had it. I hardly go out, so I don't know what else would explain them. I only did two home tests, three days apart, which were negative. But I had nausea for a week (took cyclizine the whole time) and then a headache for a week. In the middle I had a yeast infection and a mild fever and at the end a sore throat.

I had nausea and an upset stomach with horrible cramps for days. Lost 3 kg! I survived on salty crackers and ginger ale. OP try to keep busy with mundane tasks, go in the garden if you have one - fresh air helps.

My eldest has it at the minute. His is mainly a cough. I've not tested positive yet but the nausea today is awful, so I guess it won't be long.

NorthSouthcatlady · 24/03/2022 23:11

Yep. I felt so so sick. I came close but was never sick

@Sparklesocks yeah l think it’s super personal to each person. My fiancé and l have both had it twice and at the same time. It affected us both very differently

I had a bit of nausea/bathroom trouble. Mostly I was just bone tired. Never known fatigue like it. I was working for most of it (from home) and I fell asleep in the middle of my shift... twice. Right there at my desk.

That was after waking up at 8.30 and falling asleep at 7pm every night. I'd wake up, eat, work, fall asleep for lunch, work, fall asleep and wake up to a notification or something, eat, sleep for 13 hours and repeat.

Felt like wading through honey the whole time and like my eyelids were asleep.

Headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, muscle pain, muscle weakness,
No cough or , sore throat but sneezed a lot for a few days before other symptoms.
No vomiting as such, just dry heaves.

mycatisannoying · 24/03/2022 23:55

I vomited loads when I had it. Mostly just water, as I couldn't actually eat Sad

How many days did you guys feel nauseous for?!? I felt rough all night. Bit better this morning but now I’m concerned it will hit me again tonight… just awful waves of sickness. I had no idea Covid did this. Thought it was just cough / fever

It was the first symptom I had a few weeks back. Woke up feeling rotten and then puked everywhere. Only lasted a day though

LakieLady · 25/03/2022 09:36

I didn't, but I had it very early on (March 2020). SIL and her family had it in Dec last year, she got an upset stomach but her DH and DD didn't. They all got it within a few days of each other.

Mangogogogo · 25/03/2022 09:36

My work (government) class symptoms starting at day 0. Not sure if they’re just being overly cautious because we see the public all day every day sometimes!
I had no nausea and wanted to stuff my face the entire time (and did). Partner got mild nausea when he had a raging temp for 3 days so unsure whether it was the virus or the temp tbh!
Friend had no temp and had sickness first day!

JKDcot · 25/03/2022 16:46

Feeling rough again and super nauseous. Did other people feel worse in the evenings?

A bit queazy. Slightly off my food. Felt like I needed to fart but couldn't. My main symptom was sneezing fits and bunged up sinuses, with a bit of a cough.

suzyscat · 25/03/2022 18:17

Yes horrific nausea. Also felt nauseas after my booster - vertigo and nausea for weeks, was just getting better when I caught covid. It did pass eventually, but not quickly.

HSHorror · 25/03/2022 18:27

No i lost appetite a bit though. But 9yo had weird head and dizziness and nausea only lasted about 6h
