To ask to hear about the nice things in your life right now?

I'm just feeling a bit bogged down by some pretty awful things that have happened lately. There are actually lots of good things in my life right now but the cumulative weight of the bad things seems to be taking over. I'd like to hear some nice things to know that the world isn't full of bad. Tell me what's good in your life right now 😊

Most of my seeds are germinating, trays on every sunny windowsill- drives DH crackers and he goes round mumbling that I do have a greenhouse, but he likes it really Grin

PonyPatter44 · 23/03/2022 21:05

I'm another who absolutely loves the whale image. I'm going to try and keep that in mind to make me happy.

One of my lads at work gave me a little paper flower he'd made, and its in a pot on my desk. My daffodils are in full bloom. My DD has a job interview tomorrow. DP and I are nearly ready to exchange on our new house. I met up with loads of my friends on Friday, and we're planning a house party holiday together for next year. I have loads to be thankful for.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 23/03/2022 21:07

I have Covid which is rubbish, but I went and sat in the garden for some fresh air, and it felt almost warm. My cat came and sat on the table, then DP brought me a coffee.

FastFood · 23/03/2022 21:07

I'm currently travelling across Central and Eastern Europe, and I just put my name down on a waiting list for a puppy.

Daffodils22 · 23/03/2022 21:10

The sun is shining! I’ve got job interviews, my health (ish) and I have family, friends and a partner. Not to mention a roof over my head and food
I consider myself very lucky after a particularly tough few years due to health and bereavements (and that’s not even Covid related)

Daffodils22 · 23/03/2022 21:11

@haveyouopenedyourbowelstoday

We are going down to our lovely caravan on Friday. Due to work and covid haven't seen it since September. I can't wait to be sat on the decking with a cuppa.
I hope the weather stays like it is for you

@Shopboughtmeatballs

My DD2, who has suffered horribly with depression and anxiety all her teen years seems to be turning a corner. She's massively reined in her drinking and is achieving things she never thought possible as a result.
Wishing her all the best and happiness for the future (from someone who knows the stuggle)

Dcat is butted up close to my thigh and purring. He never sits on me but sometimes squeezes up close like this.

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 23/03/2022 21:19

One of my rabbits sat on my lap for ages and let me stroke her this evening. She's so soft and cute.i watched my favourite film too.

D0lphine · 23/03/2022 21:19

I got a cute rescue puppy and she is so adorable!

HerRoyalNotness · 23/03/2022 21:21

I have a Chili bubbling on thé stove. Fingers crossed it’ll last two nights.

weealba · 23/03/2022 21:24

My son who is 4 months started blowing raspberries today. He is an IVF baby after trying to conceive for 5 years so even though he deprives me of a lot of sleep right now I can't help but have a wee 'you're a miracle' moment when he starts doing new things like he did today :)

notanothertakeaway · 23/03/2022 21:26

Tonight = (1) walk with a friend, (1) fish pie with DP and DS, (3) lovely email from a client thanking me for my efforts on her behalf (4) as always, whilst not taking it for granted, grateful to live in a peaceful country, with good health and positive relationships with friends and family

theotherfossilsister · 23/03/2022 21:29

Our frightened rescue cat who in December I thought would never warm to us, or I would war to, now sleeps on the end of the bed and I love him so much.

MrsPnut · 23/03/2022 21:31

The sun has shone today, I’ve got my washing dried on the line and we are going away tomorrow for the weekend.

Our trip this weekend should have been my post cancer treatment treat, except some major complications mean my treatment hasn’t finished. We are going anyway and I shall plan another trip for when I have finished. We do have a trip to Jamaica booked for September that has been moved a few times but we can fit in something before then.

OceanAvenue · 23/03/2022 21:32

I bought an egg chair a few weeks ago and spent a glorious day in the sun listening to podcasts. And I passed my first university essay of my PhD

Iseeyoulookingatme · 23/03/2022 21:35

After splitting up from exh due to abuse, I started a new job. I love my new job and after 7 months of being there I have already progressed. I'm very proud of myself especially with all the stress of a separation and continuing emotional and financial abuse. I'm a much happier person and I'm enjoying my new life.

gelatodipistacchio · 23/03/2022 21:40

My little daughter is curled up next to me in bed, sleeping contentedly. She brings me joy every day.

Horrible things have happened within my employer, but I seem to be landing on my feet.

I managed to buy a house and whip it into decent shape last year, meaning that I have a nice place to live with no risk of eviction or other such nonsense.

I have a holiday planned from next Friday - very exciting.

This week, I had a very nice date, to be followed this Saturday with another one.

Currently, I have a week off to get some annoying and pressing personal admin done.

CheshireSplat · 23/03/2022 21:54

Loving all the references to the weather. Mine isn't nearly so cute as most of these but I took my laptop into the garden for an hour today (still WFH) and that one thing brought so much joy to an otherwise ordinary day.

JoBrodie · 23/03/2022 21:56

I'm enjoying plotting* routes around Tower Hamlets in London. The borough's recycling bins are a rather nice pink colour and cherry blossom Flowers season is upon us, so I'm trying to get more nice photos of the two together :)

Each photo in the "montage" has a pink bin in the distance. I don't think any other London borough has pink bins but I hear there are pink-lidded bins in Salford and possibly pink bins in parts of Moray in Scotland... (there's not, AFAIK, a list of 'pink bins in the UK' but that may be next year's quest) ;)

We've got sunshine for our wee caravan holiday. It's our first holiday with our baby daughter who is sleeping badly and I'm exhausted. But the sun was shining today, we saw the beach and my (much longed for) 3 month old daughter is learning to laugh, I feel very grateful for the family that a few years ago i didn't think I'd have. Thanks to this thread for reminding me of the positives!

Veryverysadandold · 23/03/2022 22:33

Spent the evening with my DP on a lake jetty watching the sunset and bats, while drinking tea and eating a pork pie Smile

WellNotReally · 23/03/2022 22:40

One of my DC is going on holiday this week. She was seriously ill for almost all of last year, I'm so pleased she's finally able to go away.

DilemmaDelilah · 24/03/2022 13:20

My husband. 5 weeks off work as from next week and then going down to 4 days a week. My lovely family. My new grandchild. Daffodils out in the garden. Bird song! Lots of lovely things!

Huggy1975 · 24/03/2022 13:22

My magnolia which has never flowered in 8 years has finally flowered…it’s been relocated as we’ve moved counties so I’m taking it as a very good omen ☺️
