To think people should start to stockpile a bit of food?

Do you think everybody should be sticking up on long life foods now before the prices rocket. I am wondering if to get a few each bits to put away now might save me abit of money later.

What do you think is it worth it or not?

@CharlotteRose90

We’ve started already here. Got some extra tins as the prices will sky rocket soon and got some long life milk.
The prices will sky rocket even sooner if everyone buys extra.

@bellinisurge

Go on to the Prepper topic where we have more sensible conversations about this. The usual confusion with panic buying is cropping up here.
Yes prepping and panic buying are completely different.

I have a pantry cupboard that I keep filled with spare long life items like beans, rice, tinned fruit, all things we use day to day. When things are on offer I stock up buying two extra for example, and rotate the cupboard so I use the older items first. I think this is being organised and sensible, rather than blind panic.

I hate hearing of ridiculous posters who ended up hording tins of food, didn't use them also couldn't be arsed to take them to the foodbank and sat waiting for their little hoard to go out of date. What a waste of time and money Confused

I have enough in for the next few days, not stocking up but realise I don't have extenuating circumstances (autistic children, young babies who need milk etc) which would make me panic a bit more.

I'm not a prepper so I don't know, but my understanding was always that tins don't really go out of date, at least not for years and years?

Appalling to throw perfectly edible food away.
