I love these threads.

Holibobs
Arvo (for afternoon)
Little man (no no he is a baby)
Pleasure
Groaning (especially a table groaning with food)
When a book deceived someone as ‘with child’

BiscuitLover3678 · 05/03/2022 19:05

Nom nom nom

BiscuitLover3678 · 05/03/2022 19:06

Describes a pregnant woman as ‘with child’

I also hate lots of euphemisms for death like ‘he has passed’ it makes me so angry.

HerBigChance · 05/03/2022 19:06

Tummy.
It's twee and infantile.

StScholastica · 05/03/2022 19:09

Yummy.
Indie school

Clareypoo · 05/03/2022 19:11

Cascading - as in, information at a meeting

A little bit sick in my mouth every time.

KatRee · 05/03/2022 19:13

Nibbles

ChuckGarabedian · 05/03/2022 19:13
@ChuckGarabedian how on earth is that even supposed to make sense? Wtf is selectsh?
‘Selection’ I assume (this was in the era of ‘totes emosh’ and other nonsensical, not-quite-abbreviations, but clearly it was so heinous my brain has refused to forget it). Haven’t seen it used since, thankfully!

User53724 · 05/03/2022 19:14

Toddler

Not a popular opinion on here and I have one of my own but the word is awful!

Also, not written but people who pronounce 'meals' as 'meyuws' Angry

Fairislefandango · 05/03/2022 19:19

Myself when it should beIorme!!My eyes roll so far back they nearly fall out.

Yep, this. But also when people use 'I' when it should be 'me' - e.g. "He had dinner with my husband and I." Hmm

Jacopo · 05/03/2022 19:20

Belly
Bellyful
He’s when they mean his
His when they mean he’s
Gifting instead of giving
Gifts instead of presents. Something about the way the f and t sounds come together makes me flinch.

LaTangerina · 05/03/2022 19:21

Pronouns

grapewines · 05/03/2022 19:22

Toddler

I have heard Americans say "tot". That's worse.

Hohofortherobbers · 05/03/2022 19:22

Poorly, I hate this term if it's used to describe anything worse than a slight cold in a child. Adults should never never be described as poorly.

hookiewookie29 · 05/03/2022 19:24

Famalam
'Making memories '
Holidays

'On my holidays with my family making memories '
😬😬😬

gingerhills · 05/03/2022 19:25

I have never heard the word holibobs outside of MN threads on awful words.

hookiewookie29 · 05/03/2022 19:25

*Holibobs

Twattergy · 05/03/2022 19:27

Gosh
Especially at the start of an MN post.

Stravaig · 05/03/2022 19:28

I can't work out what holibobs is. Or famalam. I like the sounds though.

Whatadayyyy · 05/03/2022 19:28

Moist, gusset, when someone refers to their baby as ‘baba’, kiddlets,

bluesugar · 05/03/2022 19:29

Awesome
Picky bits

ilovesooty · 05/03/2022 19:30

Cringe used as any other part of speech other than as a verb.

"It's cringe and awkward '"

"It's absolutely cringe"

Prolly instead of probably.

grapewines · 05/03/2022 19:32
