Just that really. What words make you kinda recoil.

Mine are:

Treats
Creamy
Hubby
Furbabes/furbabies

Any words that become vastly overused, especially if they originate from Australian tv shows, eg." stoked"
Somehow there are no pleasant sounding words for genitalia - there, that word in itself says it all ...
"Spoiled" as in " I feel so spoiled " usually accompanying a boastful pic of some ridiculously expensive gift they've been given or because someone has made them a slice of toast with whatever topping is currently trending on social media.
Definitely "panties" and " pantyhose " ( shudder ! )

Sharnydubs · 05/03/2022 23:55

Wanna, gunna etc.

Sharnydubs · 06/03/2022 00:08

Nobody just "has " or "gives birth " to a baby any more, they are now " welcomed " and invariably " shared " with the husband / partner.

The way some Americans pronounce "mirror" as " meeeeeerrrrrr"

UmbilicusProfundus · 06/03/2022 00:10

Why do people always say ‘moist’ in these threads. I don’t get it. I realise you can associate it with some fairly filthy concepts, but it’s fairly neutral really. Words like holihobs or hubby however would likely only be said by the more irritating members of society so deserve opprobrium

San141 · 06/03/2022 01:14

A person I know insists on calling EVERYONE "sweets" I hate sweets, biscuits and chocolate so it annoys me even more than it really should

BritInAus · 06/03/2022 01:25

"Little man" when referring to an infant / young boy.

"Human" - it's everywhere on social media captions. "Happy Birthday to the best human ever" etc.

On a similar note: "this one" used as a social media photo caption of a lover. Vom.

GrandRapids · 06/03/2022 01:26

People who say 'I've made a boo boo' or, I'm in a tiswas. The management term I fucking HATE is 'so we've done a deep dive of.......(something really dull and irrelevant)

isee20 · 06/03/2022 03:08
