I considered emailing my MP to complain, unfortunately as someone living in Sir Gavs constituency I think I'd be wasting my time.
He's about as good a local MP as he was the education secretary, fucking useless.

I refuse to blame the honours system.

Maybe it should or shouldn't be abolished, however - when used properly - good people can be recognised, like Captain Sir Tom Moore. It's a tool, nothing more.

Blaming it distracts us from what's truly at fault here. Which is, to quote @eightlivesdown:

Saying it’s the Honors system fault distracts from the fact it’s actually corrupt gits at fault. Bad workmen and tools and all that.
