I just cut my hair at home as I felt like doing something impulsive and it looks good.

Spring is coming! I took a nice walk at lunchtime, the sun is shining, birds are singing, flowers are starting to come up Smile

And there is still more good hearts then bad in the world yes!!! @Ttcfinalbub

The kids have a lot to look forward to this year, little trips here and there (all UK based) which I am really happy about. I love seeing them smile.

We moved into a new house recently and have discovered that we have a resident hedgehog. The kids are excited but my excitement is on a whole different level. I'm about to buy him/her a little house to live in. Makes the house worth every penny we paid for it 🦔

@HansSolo22 Please don' feed or give milk. water yes. there is plenty of natural food for hedgehogs in gardens. Make sure he can get through both sides of your fences.

How cute! My DCs always complain that they have never see a hedgehog. (They are 17 and 19). They have seen deer, badgers and slow worms though .

Day10 of covid isolation and I had a negative test.

The moon was absolutely beautiful this morning. Looked just like the man in the moon you see in children's story books.

We have decided to have a BBQ. Just because it isn't raining (nobody needs a better excuse).

Oh this is a lovely thread. Mine is minor, but I managed to order new bedroom blinds today after financially it seemed so far away. Mine are broken and the whole house needs some TLC, so it made me feel good knowing the re-plastering is done in 10 days and I’ll have some new blinds. 1 more window to go after this!

My tortoises are awake and feeding Its always a bit worrying when they are hibernating and when they wake up...its risky until they have started to eat and drink. They will be living in my spare room until its warm enough for them to be outdoors.

Text from builder earlier coming to see about starting work on gutting kitchen ready to put new one in to replace hideous 1980s monstrosity. I've been waiting nearly 7 years to get this underway.

Will also be getting rid of free standing gas cooker and having built in electric oven so I don't have to kneel on the floor to see how food is cooking. Takes a lot of effort to get back up again. Shock

Can't wait.

My cat has had the worst case of UTI that I have ever seen and she was so ill that she was peeing on my husband, not to mention all over my house and we have had to throw out cabinets (bloody mdf), carpets, rugs and stools. We found a vet that was willing to travel to us and she is now on the mend and feeling more like her usual (very vocal) furry, purry, irritating, snuggly self. I am over the moon because I was worried sick about her.

I've spent the better part of the day with my best friend, talking and walking by the sea in the sun. We hardly ever get to spend time together, I am really happy.

And in the middle of that found out I got tickets to a thing DD will be over the moon about as she thought it was never going to happen. Am going to try to keep it a secret until the day Grin

Ah, some lovely positive stories - congratulations to everyone getting new jobs, flowers, babies and hedgehogs 🌷🦔.
Not exactly newsworthy but my fence and guttering has just been fixed after the storm last Friday!
