Shark, cordless anti hair wrap, awesome machine, much better than Dyson or g tech.

LaWench · 25/02/2022 19:19

People have just one? I have a Dyson upright, a Henry and a Gtech cordless, all for different reasons.

NameChangeCity123 · 25/02/2022 19:27

G tech air ram

SuitcaseOfWhine · 25/02/2022 19:30

Nilfisk. Cheap and powerful. Best one I've had.

KittenKong · 25/02/2022 19:32

A dyson animal. Can’t say I’m overly impressed - it’s like a Wendy house toy! Our old Miele was much better (before the wiggly worm infestation…).

Mum had 3 of them (one on each floor as she couldn’t carry them up the stairs) and the light they were great.

Chely · 25/02/2022 19:35

Vax Air Stretch Pet Max. Mix of hard floors and deep pile carpet, this works great for all.

RedHelenB · 25/02/2022 19:38

Love my Henry, so simple to use and his cheerful face makes hoovering seem OK.

Mol1628 · 25/02/2022 19:48

I have a Henry for DIY. A Dyson v10 for day to day hoovering and then I have an old Dyson upright as my back up in case I need to recharge the cordless. But rarely need it.

shivawn · 25/02/2022 19:51

Parkside one from Aldi or Lidl, can't remember which but its amazing. It's an industrial style wet and dry one and I also use it to hoover our artifical grass when there's a tonne of leaves and twigs on it.

NewYearCalavicci · 25/02/2022 20:00

@DillonPanthersTexas

Border collie
Now I get how that model would be good at vac'ing up food ,( though I believe the Labrador model excels at this task) but what's it like on hair ? Grin🤣🤣🤣

I have a Eufy which I would replace in a heart beat if it died. I also have a big old vax vac / shampooer, while it's a great vac it's big heavey and is a pain to store. So very rarely gets used. , last time was early Dec I think after I dropped a bag of cat litter ( unused thank god ) .

OverByYer · 25/02/2022 20:02

Miele

Svara · 25/02/2022 20:03

Henry

VelvetChairGirl · 25/02/2022 20:07

I have 2.

a shitty little 2 in 1 morphy richards super vac which I hate, its a pain to empty, it doesnt suck much, I have to clean the filters every time its emptied.

and I have a old wet and dry black and decker dustbuster which in hindsight I should have just duct tape to a broom handle instead of buy the other thing, it sucks way better, the dust bucket is easy to empty, I dont have to keep washing the filter.

the only reason I have not got a henry instead is because they are heavy (I use the dust buster in the hall to hoover round where the shoes go etc, its for dirty jobs its great)

7eleven · 25/02/2022 20:28

I’ve got a dyson v11, a Roomba and a Sebo Felix. Love them all and use them for different things.

VAX downstairs. Dyson upstairs

A580Hojas · 25/02/2022 20:44

What are you being unreasonable about?

Yeah, people have just one! Go figure!!!!!!!

I always find these threads are only useful if you say why/why not something is good/bad.

I had a Henry as my first VC and it was heavy and hard work on carpet. Didn't seem to lift anything vaguely challenging and it was always falling over.

Now I have a Shark DuoClean Upright Vacuum Cleaner with Lift-Away NV702UK (pasted the exact title from the receipt) and I love it. It gets sooo much more stuff up and lets you lift away for the stairs, is really powerful and easy to clean. The component parts mean easy to hoover cobwebs that I can't reach and it's sooo much lighter than the Henry.

You can get lighter ones but they have a smaller dust compartment. They also let you choose between hard floor or carpet, min or max suction (if you have a really thick carpet you might choose min) and you can see how much dust is inside them.

Haven't tried others so can't comment.

Cocomelonearworm · 25/02/2022 20:48

A Hetty for "proper" vacuuming and a Eufy robo vac for daily topping up.

The Hetty is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever used. It is so well-designed and powerful. I'd never give it up.

Grantingmum · 25/02/2022 20:49

I've got a Dyson and it's a load of shit. I hate it.

Workyticket · 25/02/2022 20:50

I have a collection Blush

Henry - great for hoovering the log burner and construction shit dh is always doing.

Dyson cordless. Shite

Eufy. Love him. Would love him more if I could figure out how to link him up to the app and set him going before we get up

Woahthehorsey · 25/02/2022 21:06

Old school Henry.

Had a Dyson and loved it but it died.

Have a shark and it's a bag of crap. Constantly blocking, breaking and their customer service is shocking.

Mia184 · 25/02/2022 21:23

An AEG Vampyr

Angrymum22 · 25/02/2022 21:29

Miele upright, Miele cylinder and a new shark cordless for a quick tidy up. I’ve had various stain but none of them came near the Miele upright. It’s a bit heavy but easy to handle. You need bags but they are very robust and large and you don’t get a lung full of dust when you change them.
