To ask which songs give you the rage?

Heart Of Glass makes me want to be violent, I cannot stand it. I’m not sure what it is. But something about the lyrics, voice and tune trigger something inside me. It came on the radio in the delivery room whilst I was in active labour and it made me distressed until it was turned off.

Also, Ed Sheeran’s songs. Mainly due to the weird lyrics. “My bedsheets smell like you.” Wtf? And in a recent one “I want to drink your smile.” How does one ‘drink a smile’? On the rocks? Also the song where he goes on about all of the depressing hardships his (I’m guessing made-up for the song) friends have fallen upon. One doesn’t see his kids, one is divorced, bla bla bla. It annoys me because it’s not his place to go on about their (made-up, in all fairness) problems for a good song. If the friends are real I hope he asked for permission. This is the same song where he goes on about driving 90mph down country lanes. And the less said about Galway Girl the better.

Another one who can't stand 'Imagine' by John Lennon.

That awful dirge 'Mull of Kintyre' by Paul McCartney.

Two dirges that need to be tossed onto a bonfire never to assault our ears again.

Meghan Trainor's All About that Bass. Gives me the rage because there is a lot of veiled meanness in it.

Meant to be encouraging you to love your body which is great, but if you read the lyrics it's an ode to what 'men want' ('boys like a little more booty to hold at night') and calls women 'skinny bitches' which I think is awful. Why can't all shapes and sizes be the message of the song.

To me it's a song about women against women and I find the whole thing abhorrent.

Agree, I hated this song at the time but I do remember people being annoyed with it for that reason. I recall my sister in law and I slagging it off and slating the averageness and lack of charisma of the uninspiring singer

I (thankfully) haven’t heard it in a long time, but I used to hate ‘Whatever Happened to Corey Haim?’ by The Thrills. I didn’t like the song anyway, but it was exacerbated by sharing an office with someone who used to sing along to the radio tunelessly - and for some reason, only the odd line at a time, so you’d just hear ‘Corey Haiiiiiiim!’ being wailed as if he was mid-colonoscopy.

I also hate the Kid Laroi's "Without You", just the line "Cant make a wife out of a ho" makes me want to punch him!

John Lennon's imagine. I really don't understand how so many people think it's one of the greatest songs in the world, including my husband. I actually hate it so much it makes me angry. Really don't know why 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

I hate it too but I do know why. It's because he tells us to "imagine there's no Heaven"! Why the heck would I want to do that? Even as a child I hated it it and thought it was the stupidest thing I'd ever heard an adult say (sing)!
