I'm proud to be a woman too

Just in the back of Adele's speech last night at the brits which appears to have kicked off on Twitter... just wondering... am I actually being unreasonable to being proud of my sexuality too?

If members of the lgbt community want acceptance and open mindedness to their sexuality choice of being none binary, why is it wrong for others to be proud of who they are too?

So was the award introduced to show male and female artists don't need any distinction in music, or to allow for non-binary artists to have a suitable category? As the number of those must be tiny and everyone who is non-binary is either male or female anyway, so already had a category (unless the categories were ever based on gender identity?)

Oh yeah, goats, I missed that. Wasn't reading this one so deeply. Just jumped on what annoyed me.

It was introduced because a man threw his toys out the pram.

All this rubbish about the difference between being able to tell the difference between men and women is difficult to understand is rubbish.

They had no problem changing everything on a non binary whinge and ignored all the voices that protested.

So they know who a woman is when they need to know who to discount, ignore and roll over.

Op I'm glad you're proud, you should be. But being a woman isn't a sexuality

icannotbebothered · 09/02/2022 18:43

You can be proud to be a woman.. proud means feeling deep pleasure or satisfaction as a result of ones achievements, qualities or possessions

LaChanticleer · 09/02/2022 18:43

Sorry but why are women not allowed to say they're proud to be women?

Because it excludes the poor menz.

But good for you, Adele! I think she was commenting on the replacement of the Male and Female Artist categories of the Brits with a "Gender Neutral" (although they actually mean sex not gender).

It'll be interesting to see how male awardees start to dominate. Again.

The activists won't be happy until they've convinced us that being a woman is an act of transphobia.

Sadly, we're heading that way. Almost there in some workplaces and situations.
