This is literally the most times I've ever been quoted on a thread.

I don't know why anyone would be interested but I completely lack whatever it is that makes people competitive. DH goes mad if I win when we play squash because I don't care I've won and I don't try to win. I just like whacking a ball around really hard!

Because they are self centred pains. Ignore them.

You can block words and hashtags on SM, thus eliminating the unbearable squares from your life forever.

My family and some friends have a Wordle WhatsApp group - it's fun and just a bit of healthy competition.

Live and let live - we all like different things.

Of all the pointless stuff people post on social media, wordle is just a bit of harmless fun. If it bothers you, you can unfollow the people who do it.

I play daily (the free online one) but have only posted my score online once when I got it on my second guess.

Our family WhatsApp group has a lot of Wordle and Nerdle sharing because we all enjoy it but I wouldn't put it on Facebook.

It is more interesting than photos of cats, dogs or meals though imo.

How do you know that no one cares? Presumably what you mean is you don't care. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that some people do Wordle themselves and enjoy the mild feeling of competitiveness they get from seeing their FB friends' scores. Doesn't mean you have to be interested. Maybe unfollow them if you find it that annoying?

Fwiw I do Wordle and have never posted my score, but do not remotely object to other people posting theirs.

It is irritating as fuck.

I use voiceover and the way the Wordle scores read are That it reads the images as text, so you get e.g. “blue square, large purple square, 3 green square,” you get the gist.

I’ve unfollowed about 20 people on my timeline.
