@Nightlystroll. I probably worded that badly. I know a little about him. His voting record seems to indicate he voted with the party I think. Prepared to stand corrected.

And I still think he’d be better than Gove, Truss, Patel or Sunak.

And the election/voting system is crap hence the utterly crap choices we have.

Oh, I don't think that is true at all. Boris does have some charisma, which no doubt helps him, but the conservatives are not in just because of that. They are in because Labour has pushed away so many voters - the Scottish vote, many of their traditional working class voters, and I think they need to worry about women, immigrant and minority voters too.

Unless Labour or someone else runs candidates that people will vote for, the Conservatives will get in.

My theory is that politicians really only care about swing voters. The rest of us are lost causes.
