To revenge hoover?

I have 2 under 18 months so might be over sensitive to lack of sleep. My NDN had a party until 5am last night, I could hear her shout talking over the music all night. The babies never woke (amazingly), well the youngest did but just for feeds, however I couldn’t get back off after each feed due to the noise and worrying about it waking the kids. WIBU do aggressively hoover into my skirting boards against the upstairs wall where there bedrooms adjoin as soon as I’ve sorted my toddlers breakfast?
I understand that my babies make noise sometimes but it’s not intentional and definitely not all night, actually I do everything I can to make sure there is little or no noise when other are sleeping.

It’s not OK & I get they you want to kill the bastards OP, but as it’s a one off your LHA will not do anything. You’ll be advised to talk to the neighbour, if it continues you keep a diary of noise & nuisance.

From one who loves to get the Hoover out on their day off at 8am, even if it does fall on a Sunday.

Ah yes parents always justify their kids noise well ifs in the daytime blah blah. Well with my neighbours its not its 6am every morning! No chance of any sleep past that.

And its not just the children its them too talking so loud, slamming their back door and that door slamming goes on throughout the day and evening. Theb its the endless calls on speaker phone in the garden.

I know what their kids has for breakfast everymorning, today it was would you like strawberry or apple...oh fuck off I dont give a shit I want to wake up to a peaceful morning!

So yeah if I bang out my music or have a late night party once in a while fuk it i will live my life too in my house as I see fit.

I'd rather put up with one off nights then every flipping day!

I hope it isn't you who has stolen another OP's hoover parcel on another thread 😅

PinkSyCo · 01/02/2022 07:17

I’d have gone round to complain or banged on her walls last night. Better that than playing silly games surely?

SmellyOldOwls · 01/02/2022 07:18

@silentpool

If you have an Alexa, install the Brown noise skill. If there is a party, turn it up. That's what I do and I hear nothing.

I'm pretty sure she hears you too, OP.

I do this, my neighbour turns the tv on in the room next to me and falls asleep to it. I spent months seething before catching on I could move Alexa up here and listen to storm sounds instead.

Revenge hoover? As someone has said "life is too short".

Tbh this petty as hell.
