Does anyone really look at other people's socks?

I have a drawer of socks which is over flowing. A friend gave me some space themed socks which are the ones I prefer to wear. I have loads of plain black socks which are a pain to pair as they're all slightly different even if they're black. I never wear them because it takes ages to find two. I'm very tempted to throw the lot and only buy easy to pair socks, cheerful, colourful socks from now on.

DH thinks I should follow his method, he only buys black or grey socks from the same brand so all of his grey socks match and all of his black socks match.

AIBU to wear silly socks for the rest of my life?

You can get black socks with coloured heals and toes which would be easier to pair and not look silly, although nothing wrong with silly socks.

I have lots of silly socks, Care Bears and fried eggs, strawberries and McDonalds fries. Usually wear them matching though. Plain black socks are for work.

I wear the first two socks that come out of the draw, they rarely match, I'm not bothered.

Go for it. This time of year everyone seems to be wearing black or navy so a flash of silly socks in a bright colour is actually very cheery.

I only wear non-boring socks. Today’s have polar bears on them. I can’t wear non matching socks though because they feel different.

Oh hates them… I don’t care, brightens my day and that is why I wear them

Plus they’re bamboo and really soft and lovely

DH gave me these for Christmas, I will be wearing them for Wales’ 6 nations matches.

Next (boys) monster socks all the way here.
DS has these and never wears pairs, he mixes and matches. We had a complaint from school because they were concerned he didn't have pairs of socks / know how to dress properly

I always wear bright socks probably to balance out the fact I'm often top to toe in black or grey. I think I have two black pairs but they sit in the back of the sock drawer on the off chance I ever need them. Each day is a mix of bees, zigzags, dinosaurs, bears, birds etc

I'm in my 40s & have socks with cartoon dogs on them. Others with flowery patterns... life is too short for plain & boring!
