Moving to a Surrey Town

Which towns have more amenities ie gyms, chain shops, restaurants, cafes etc in order of preference out of:
Bagshot
Farnham
Farnborough
Aldershot
Camberley
Basingstoke

I'm in Reading and it's probably a bit big for me or just not what I imagined it to be - not very modern or car friendly. I'm not finding the traffic an issue, but you can't just park up near where you want to be

@Samara26 when you buy at auction have to immediately pay. Are you a cash buyer ? To get a mortgage in time would be impossible, which is the issue with auctions. Plus there are auction fees. Also that is the guide or starting price, but yes a new build or newer build is much less work than a doer upper. You need to check the legal pack. Many new builds have monthly estate costs you have to pay for site maintenance even if the property is freehold. These can vary, on my estate they are £49.

I don't get the shinfield thing. Are you just wanting to be near a lively evening scheme not walking Distance ?

The auction fees are quite low. I thought Shinfield was a nice area, but I could be mistaken?

I'd like to be around 5-10 minutes drive from a good evening scene. Definitely don't need to be walking distance :)

@RupertOscar1999

These are just my opinions!! Bagshot - I've only been there a few times so I can't judge it too much Aldershot - is like a dead town!! Very run down Farnborough - its kinda like Aldershot but has a nice shopping centre. (Kings mead) Has a few cafe's, gyms etc Camberely - every time I go there I have struggles with the parking Farnham - isn't 'modern' but has cafes, gyms, schools etc all within walking distance. Out of all six I would choose Farnham. Possibly round the town or Wreccelsham. How about trying Alton, Grayshot, Haslemere, Havant
What's your take on Basingstoke?

The reserve price is 350k. No one met it in the last auction and it's still very cheap at that price so I'm surprised. It doesn't need much work, just paint and carpets and new kitchen at some point.

They do want u to move quickly so they'd want a deposit I believe immediately and completion within 4-6 weeks. I think exchange needs to happen with 48 hours.

I guess u can't get a mortgage without a survey so you'd have to get that done first before you submit an offer
