To ask your experience of apartment living and children

Our landlord is selling up so we need to look for a new home. Very limited amount of houses so looks like we most likely will have to try for an apartment.
We have a garden and I know we'll miss it.
If you live in a flat/apartment with children, what is your experience? I know it's something that people get used too, that we will have to get used too.
I'm trying to keep positive about the move.

We live in a spacious ground floor flat in a god location with a relatively large garden (for London) with kids. We chose that over a bigger house in the suburbs or a tiny house in the area we live in. I sometimes have a hankering over a house, but overall we are happy.

We live in a flat on the main road above a row of shops. It's fine. Very large 3 bed flat that is plenty big enough for a family of 4. And it's half the cost of a house with the same space and allows us to live very centrally.
