To think calling a 26 year old a girl is odd

They aren’t even a young adult never a girl.

I watch quite a few of those 'true crime' documentaries. I can't believe how many times a woman in her 20s (usually after being murdered/raped) is described by police as a "young girl".

I don't like it. It's demeaning to women - a 26 year old man is unlikely to be called a 'boy'.

I work in a fairly male dominated environment and we refer to a lot of the guys as boys. For example “he’s some boy eh?”

I think it’s a regional thing
