No. And if the person is pregnant they won’t have much choice Grin

onewednesdayindecember · 12/01/2022 18:57

I bloody hope not. I’m due in a couple of weeks and I’d like to think I’d have been told if it won’t be possible for me to give birth to it

I had my first (and only) child at 42.
It was a straightforward pregnancy too (and easy to conceive). Had a normal birth, albeit with lots of epidural.
She is now 16 years old, doing her A levels and is such a blessing.

I was very fit when pregnant, used to walk one hour a day to/from work, instead of taking the public transport 5 days a week, and quite active on the weekends too, which I am sure attributed to the easy pregnancy and the straightforward birth.

My Mum had me, her first and only, at 43 - healthy, straightforward pregnancy. She had an ELCS, but I think that still counts as giving birth Grin.

I had DS at 32 and had a miserable pregnancy with three consultants involved at one point. I think it's just the luck of the draw.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 12/01/2022 19:47

I had ds at 38 and would have had a second at 41 ( if I hadn't been put off by lack of sleep )

Plenty of women have babies at 41.

My SIL was 41 when she had her first.

My mother was 40 when she had me and her mother was 41 when she had my mother back in 1908.

I was a bit younger, 38 when I had my youngest.

No. My gran and great-gran both gave birth at 41 with no issues whatsoever.

I'll be 37 when I give birth in a few weeks and I'm knackered but I have some other health issues that are taking it out of me. My relatives were definitely healthier and less fat than I am.

No. My Mum was 41 when she had me.

Confused
Cakecakecheese · 12/01/2022 20:47

I do hope not! (I'm 41 and pregnant)

Wildrobin · 12/01/2022 20:54

I’m glad virtually everyone has said no especially as I’m expecting our baby naturally at 43
