…including 6 children across 3 of the families and 2 dogs (I hate dogs but that’s another thread) - children’s ages range from 18 months to 9 years and they are 3 girls and 3 boys. The adults are 4 couples.

We regularly go away with 3 other families. 6 Kids aged between 4 to 14.
We always have a minimum of 6 bedrooms as the DC know each other very well and happily sleep in the same room in various permutations.
We never exceed the max occupancy.
Bathroom numbers is also a crucial factor, as is the ability for us all to sit round 1 dinner table together.
And enough parking for all 4 cars.
There's loads of places that can accommodate this brief.

Sleeps12.com springs to mind as a starter.

We’re doing the exact same holiday with cousins - 3 families with 2 kids each, plus grandparents. There are 5 bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is huge and all the kids will share, then each couple has a room. Kids are closer in age though which helps (primary school age)

Thank you everyone for your comments.

@RedHot22 no sofa bed, sorry for late reply.

I’m very relieved that the majority are in agreement that this sounds like a friggin nightmare, not enough bedrooms or beds and just not worth it. I agree, idiots for just booking it putting everyone in the position to have to feel they should cram in being pissed off all week. I hate sharing a room with the children, no one gets any sleep and you need some separation.

Upshot… much to my absolute bloody amazement, my husband has actually put us first before his family and decided that it’s just ridiculous, we’ll not enjoy it and we’re not going. End of. Not even getting a nearby rental for just us. He didn’t even suggest it and I’m not going to. Literally can’t believe it. Thank you for all your comments. I feel very relieved I’m not being a princess or a fuss pot.
