Help. I need to pack and drive 80 miles tomorrow and I'm just kind of frozen

I'm drained after a difficult Christmas and feeling slightly under the weather. I am mentally overwhelmed with the task of packing for me l, children and pets (including all the extra Xmas gifts) and worried I won't get everything in the car. Does anyone have any tips or advice please? I just don't know where to begin

I get this. I find writing a list makes it all feel possible & allows me to sleep.

To pack-
Child clothes
You clothes
Outdoor clothes & shoes/boots
Bathroom stuff
Gifts
Animal stuff
Bag of snacks/drinks/entertainment for car.

Plan to be packed & leave by XX:XX (make this an hour earlier than ideal)
Driving X route, if necessary will make a stop at A.

Can someone give the kids breakfast while you crack on in the morning? (Unless they are at the useful age)

Try some "what if's?" That are positive to help combat the panic (eg what if the kids & animals are brilliant in the car/what if the roads are really clear & the journey easy/what if it's just wonderful to get home)

Good luck Flowers

@Longcovid21 well at least you don't have a plane to catch so you're tied to leaving at a strict time... don't be overly flexible though about what time you want to set off as otherwise you might put it off until evening! I find packing and long journeys with kids in the winter a bit daunting as well so I know your mindset! Once we have everything packed fairly orderly and set off though I calm down and listen to the radio or chat to kids so you'll be fine like me! You'll be glad once you get in the car...

Made it! All my pets were sick but otherwise uneventful. Ordered in domino's and going to chill for the rest of the day. Thanks for all your advice. It really did get me out of limbo.

Well done! Great choice with domino's. Put a lot of washing on from the suitcase to get that going!!
