Worst things ever! Like drinking perfume or biting soap. We went to a rose museum as children and my mum bought so many of the edible gifts as she loves them. I’ve just remembered how bad the sweets were - it’s giving me a headache.

My favourites too, in dark chocolate. Didn’t get any this year ☹️

How do we stand on marrons glacé? I am firmly in team chestnut on these, usually have some but none this year.

I had a box of rose and violet creams from the Chocolate Society as a Christmas present. Just perfect - real dark chocolate and natural favours.

Cheap versions with synthetic flavours I could imagine would be less than nice.

I got a box of violet and a box of rose creams for Xmas. Bloody gorgeous and dark chocolate as well. Even better that no one else likes them 🙂

They are disgusting. As are cherry lips and floral gums. However my Dh, kids and my best friend adore them. Wonder if it's a gene thing like coriander?

Violet Creams, and violet flavoured chocolate, are my favourites. Violet honey too.

Majority are saying they're deicious. I'm not to be swayed, I still think they're horrid, grim, shampoo-flavoured things.

But @Mogloveseggs you raise an interesting point! I wonder. I hate coriander too. Vilepoisonous tasting stuff to me.

I love them! An Austrian company, Bachman, make wonderful chocolate with candied rose petals, violets or lilac flowers. 😋 And a drop of violet or rose liqueur is lovely in Prosecco. Thoroughly approve of flowery tasting food. Orange flower water is wonderful in sponge cakes.

I also adore marrons glacés. And coriander. So maybe these preferences are linked?

My favourite is an American chewing gum called "Thrills".

… which tastes like soap and is a lovely poisonous purple colour.
