Our daughter died 5 years ago just before Christmas. Since then every Christmas he buys me a silver bauble/ornament (her favourite) for the tree. This year he forgot. Its broken my heart. Just tell me I'm being ridiculous. He said he forgot...

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and so sorry that he forgot? Can you choose one together online today or in the next few days? I do think that you need to continue this important tradition and it wouldn't feel the same if you skipped a year. Do the ornaments have to be silver/metal or metal coloured? Perhaps us mumsnetters could help you find something truly special for this year. X
