Breakfast for us at Xmas was selection boxes Grin.
As a kid we ate Xmas Dinner at 12 and had tea at 4.
As an adult it's still selection boxes for breakfast then dinner between 3 and 4 and picky stuff laid out for the evening.

GiltEdges · 24/12/2021 15:21

We'll be doing a quick breakfast of crumpets (and Christmas chocolate Blush) at 7/8ish, depending on what time DS wakes up, but it's generally early. Then brunch of bacon/sausage sandwiches and pastries at FILs late morning. Christmas dinner will be back at home around 4-5PM.

monkeystockings · 24/12/2021 15:26

Depends what time we get up. Another reason I like being at home

ThatsAllFolks · 24/12/2021 15:26

Aim for 4 always an hour late tho

Alaimo · 24/12/2021 15:30

My husband is British, I'm not, so we mix traditions. We have a leisurely breakfast around 10. Continental breakfast with warm croissants, nice bread, boiled eggs, and a slice of stollen to finish. Then make the most of the day light by spending time outside, before coming back for cheese, oatcakes & mulled wine around 3pm. We then have a British-style Christmas dinner around 7.

Concestor · 24/12/2021 15:32

Breakfast whenever people get up and are hungry, I don't eat it, lunch (main meal) is at 1pm, dinner at 5.30/6pm.

WorraLiberty · 24/12/2021 15:34

No-one eats breakfast here (except possibly DS2)

Dinner at 3pm.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 24/12/2021 15:39

Bacon rolls about 11ish here, then the main event at about 5. We’re at MIL’s, whereas if we were here I would want the Christmas meal about 3, then in the evening cheese and biscuits and Christmas cake. But at least I don’t have to cook!

EatYourVegetables · 24/12/2021 15:48

Cereal for kids at 7 otherwise they’d go mad. Brunch with fresh buns, smoked salmon, maybe eggs or cheese around 11. Christmas dinner (roast+trimmings) around 5. (Aim for 4 but it will be late.)

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 24/12/2021 15:51

Breakfast will be about 7am as we'll be up stupidly early, then lunch will be on the table by 1pm, dinner of snacks stuff and leftovers will happen pretty continuously through the afternoon till we can't eat anymore.

edwinbear · 24/12/2021 15:53

Don’t bother with breakfast, feels like a waste of tummy space on Christmas Day! Buffet lunch around 12.30pm, cheese, smoked salmon and champagne. Then dinner around 7pm when it’s dark and I can put all the candles and twinkly lights on Grin

cliffdiver · 24/12/2021 15:53

Breakfast 9am

Lunch 2.30pm

SheWoreYellow · 24/12/2021 15:54

Croissants and pain au chocolate at 8/8.30 I guess. Sausages in rolls at 11/12 then Christmas dinner at fourish.

WeeFae · 24/12/2021 15:57

8/9ish for breakfast of bagels, pancakes, bacon, maple syrup, fruit salad

stocking fruit/chocs and crackers for snacks in between

3pm for starter, 3.30pm for main Christmas dinner

6/7pm, mulled cider, trifle and crisps/dips while we play family games

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 24/12/2021 16:02

We just do normal times for meals so breakfast at 8ish possibly with pain au choc, lunch around 1pm probably party food. Then traditional Christmas dinner around 6pm

Pegasussnail · 24/12/2021 16:04

Breakfast (cereal and bake at home croissants- from a tin)
About 9am

Dinner approx 2pm it's just us so no pressure. Crackers and dessert about 6 or so

Pinkandpurplehairedlady · 24/12/2021 16:05

I doubt my two will be up much before 10 and then will want to open their presents so I expect to do a fried breakfast around 11ish. Dinner is at 6ish.

lynxca16 · 24/12/2021 16:08

Breakfast 9 to 9.30am as children a little older now but will still have broken into the chocolate:) Its pretty plain - toast with jam, pate or ham.

Main meal about 3pm ish maybe nearer 4 if the roasties need crisping up in hot oven!

DilemmaDelilah · 24/12/2021 16:09

Usually - breakfast is when people are up. Dinner is always at 1.00, evening meal about 6.30. This year it's just us, we're not having a 'proper' Christmas so we will have brunch around 10.00, and slow roasted pork in bread rolls some time around 4.00 I expect.

BasiliskStare · 24/12/2021 16:10

Breakfast - smoked salmon & scramble eggs about 10.30 11ish & then dinner around 5 ( but no longer children up at 5am )

Getyourjinglebellsinarow · 24/12/2021 16:12

Breakfast 9/10ish. Dinner 2.30. Then leftover sandwiches when we're peckish

AndrewPreview · 24/12/2021 16:15

Breakfast is a slice of toast with a cup of tea as we open presents probably around 9am.

Lunch will be probably around 2pm depending on how it goes Xmas Grin

Madmog · 24/12/2021 16:16

Breakfast, we'll eat separately. DH struggles to stay in bed after 6am and wants his breakfast immediately. I'm likely to get up an hour later, but struggle to eat immediately. DD will probably get up at 11.30! There's the usual choice of cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt which we vary anyway, and also crossiants and orange juice.

Our lunch is usually 1.30pm

Bluntness100 · 24/12/2021 16:18

Breakfast about ten, capapes about one, dinner at four, dessert about seven or eight in the evening.

Roominmyhouse · 24/12/2021 16:22

I’d like to be eating dinner at 4ish but we have DH’s family coming who won’t get here until then. Planning dinner for 6ish. So we’ll have a good breakfast about 11am to keep us going! No kids so hoping for a nice lay in and chilled out morning.
