Positive LFT or have I done it wrong?

Is this a faint positive line or have I done the test wrong? I’ve ran out of tests so now trying to scramble to get some more 🤦🏻‍♀️ Any advice is welcome. Thanks xx

I had one almost identical to that, It was a colour bleed because I put in too many drops and left it too long. I would get a PCR if possible.

Do you have symptoms?
I’d do a PCR just to check.

I’d say it’s just flooding but I know many of the LFTs don’t have strong positive lines.

Ooh that's interesting. I work for my local council and they haven't caught up with these yet!

Mind you, we're due a new lot soon.

There has been some flooding but there is a clear line also, positive.

DH had one like that, tested again the next morning and it was a clearer positive

Agree flooded but faint positive.. repeat LFT if you can. If you can't isolate and PCR.

It’s a void test and you would need to repeat as it’s impossible to interpret the results.

I don’t understand why people are saying it hasn’t worked. There’s a clear line at C which means it’s worked doesn’t it?

@Porcupineintherough I did a PCR afterwards but all negative. I think it’s the flooding, it makes the test void so always best not to count the flooded one, do another straight away, then check with PCR if worried x

If its flooding, that makes it void, not negative!

If I’m doubt do another and add one drop at a time until it is absorbed

Ahh, this reminds me of the endless pregnancy test threads. It’s flooded, you need to do another test. If it helps, I’ve seen a few positive LFT’s now and they were very clear immediately,

Just get a pcr, much more conclusive.

My youngest son ,s flooded too but there was a definite second line I'm treating it as postive as he also has symptoms and just waiting for PCR ,and my oldest son's was very definitely positive

It's positive. Flooding it makes no difference.

I think that’s a faint positive. I am just getting over covid and I tested myself on day 4 and that’s what mine looked like having been strong lines in the days before.

Yes that's positive. It doesn't matter how faint the line is by the "T". You should book a proper test, if you can get tested today you should have the results back by Christmas Eve.
