BA missing luggage - All Santa presents gone ..absolutely gutted!

Just that, took a flight on Saturday 18th from Heathrow to Dublin, checked in 4 bags, with clothes, toiletries etc but mostly all the Santa presents only to be told by the pilot on landing that no bags had been loaded on the flight and to go online to BA.com and chase them up. No way to contact BA directly as won’t answer the phone, no email address and no sign of the luggage. 3 days to Christmas and not a single present to put in the kids stockings, am absolutely gutted. Logged the baggage as advises by the pilot but to no avail. Does anyone know of any way to get in touch with BA and actually try to track down missing baggage?🙏

Wouldn't the candle emoji be for all Catholics, not just Irish people?

Great news, hope you have a fab Christmas 🎄🤶

eggandonion · 24/12/2021 09:54

Im not Catholic. I do like candles and helpful saints. Im sure , in times of inclusivity, candles should be available for anyone.
Although Irish mammies are possibly the biggest users, along with warm sheets and Barry's tea.

And red lemonade and Tato crisps!

I'm not Catholic either but do light candles and pray to saints when necessary Grin It's hard not to when you're from Belfast and all your friends are good practising Catholics - feel like I was born into the wrong religion!
eggandonion · 24/12/2021 19:51

So are you a Punjana tea person?

JacquelineCarlyle · 24/12/2021 19:57

Is that to me @eggandonion? If so, we had a mix of Barry's and Punjabi growing up (I assume it was whatever was cheapest!). I live in England now, so we have Yorkshire tea!

JacquelineCarlyle · 24/12/2021 19:57

*punjana - my phone auto-corrected to Punjabi! Blush

eggandonion · 24/12/2021 20:48

Im in Cork, we get random punjana boxes of teabags, and last year we scored some soda flour.

tarasmalatarocks · 24/12/2021 21:08

I’m afraid it’s a combination of lack of staff due to Brexit (huge numbers of baggage handlers were E.U., covid and plain idolitis masking as covid because it’s near Xmas — sorry, there are some people taking the piss, — I’ve overheard several conversations about this. Happened during the football last year too

iwillinmyarse · 24/12/2021 23:54

Right I hate to bother you all again, presents are wrapped and almost ready to go BUT, i’m Supposed to be making a roulade for tomorrow and I know it’s a bit late (I do my best work at night) this more of a wwyd, this is my dilemma, I can’t find the white vinegar or the ground almonds, would it be terrible if I went in an disturbed my mum and ask her where they are..herself and my dad are in the front room at midnight mass. I’ve had the oven on for nearly an hour and keep going to listen in at the door to see if it’s over yet, i’ll Be here till tomorrow T this rate, would I be terrible to disturb her (I know the ground almonds will be hidden and have no chance of find them...don’t ask me why)🤔

Just turn the kitchen upside down.

MadeForThis · 25/12/2021 00:18

Just go in and whisper. If hand her a bite asking where the ingredients are.

Good luck.
