Just wondering what the general consensus is. Since the numbers started going crazy, have you cancelled or scaled back plans or carried on exactly as you had planned?

YABU- haven’t cancelled a thing.
YANBU- have cancelled or scaled back some stuff.

Ugghhhh. It all feels very Christmas 2020.

No. I've not cancelled or changed any plans, nor do I intend to.
Nor have any of my family and friends.

PermanentlyTired03 · 20/12/2021 15:56

Nope, not changed anything. Seeing friends xmas eve, 7 of us for xmas day, then off to see extended family a few days later.

Yup.. my dad and Mil no longer coming over Xmas. Both elderly and have done well to get through this far.. neither want to take the risk which we support.

Yep, even before DH got it and put us in quarantine over Christmas (well, him - but I'm not going to leave him on Christmas Day), we'd cancelled stuff for this week and both planned to go back to full WFH/study from home from mid-last week because my mum has various health conditions and we were due to spend Christmas with her, plus see very young nieces on Boxing Day.

As it happened, we didn't get to do anything at the weekend full stop cos DH is ill, so at least I don't have FOMO over cancelling. And DH is getting better and I've somehow managed to avoid it, so by the time we're allowed to see DM and our DNs we'll have been isolated for 11 days and no risk to them!

Yes, cancelled everything. It's a shame but hopefully will see all the people involved soon enough.
