Are people really getting their drinks spiked and being spiked by injection without any other crime being committed?

Or are they just more drunk than they thought (given that young people in the UK drink huge amounts of alcohol) and maybe got a flea bite on their leg?

There's a project going on in The East of England at the moment to see how prevalent spiking is. Urine sample kits are being handed out to bars and clubs to be given to anyone who thinks they may have been spiked, in drink, injected or otherwise.

It's limited at the moment but hopefully will get proper funding so it can take off!

Well, after all of these reports case out I thought the same thing. Then me and a friend went to a gig last month and she was spiked. As in she was fine one minute and the next was struggling to walk, she’d had 2 drinks while we were there. We went outside, hoping the fresh air would help her feel better. I went to get some water and I returned to some young men taking pictures of her, including up close to her face. It was bizarre, I took her straight home.
You left someone you assumed to be drugged on an unknown substance alone? What do you think men drug women for! You really put her in danger.

I have name changed for this. My 19 yr old, 6 foot 5 ds was spiked about 3 months ago. He had the puncture mark on his arm. He had only been out for an hour and had only had a couple of drinks. He ended up in hospital as he couldn't walk or talk and was projectile vomiting. The hospital were convinced he was spiked. Blood tests were done both by the hospital and police doctor. Nothing showed up. He ended up on the resuscitation unit as his blood pressure reached critical levels.

After he was spiked he called home as he knew something was wrong and we arranged for my brother to pick him up. A very kind couple of men helped him to get to where my brother was picking him up as he was losing consciousness. We do wonder if he would have been robbed or worse if he hadn't got help. Several other cases came into the hospital that night, all with similar symptoms. Very scary - but definitely spiking not alcohol.

I’m not saying this isn’t true but it would be EXTREMELY difficult to intra muscularly inject a 6’5 man with sufficient volume to render them incapable without them noticing.
