Charity rep at work, am tasked with helping to select two charities that "support U.K women's issues." I've had a few idea's already, (which I'm linking to below), but would be really grateful if people could link to others.

‘Pregnant then screwed’, charity that supports women who have been discriminated against in the workplace due to pregnancy and maternity. Depressingly still common.

''Action on Postpartum Psychosis is the national charity for women and families affected by postpartum psychosis (PP).
PP is a severe mental illness which begins suddenly following childbirth. Symptoms include hallucinations and delusions, often with mania, depression or confusion. Over 1400 women experience PP each year in the UK (1 to 2 in every 1000 mothers).''

@Wigeon

Does the charity have to be UK wide? There are lots of local women’s centres, which often do amazing things on small budgets, and would massively welcome any donations.

If you’re in or near Hertfordshire I can recommend one. Smile

I was going to suggest same. Big national ones wil have fundraising departments. Small local ones won't generally. My preference are for things like literacy projects, refugees, drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness. That are particularly focussed on women as so many of these types of services need to have a different focus for women.
