AIBU to think a duvet cover with a cat design shouldn't be hard to find?!

DD wants a duvet cover with cats on it. She likes colourful things and has grown out of pink, pretty much. (Thank fuck!)

You wouldn't think it'd be that hard to find, would you?

But cats don't seem to be in fashion any more!

There's no end of unicorns, sloths, llamas, pugs etc. But I can't find many cat duvet covers - except for subtle designs she won't be keen on or ones that cost about £60 for a single!

This feels like an impossible task! Can anyone help?!

Could you talk your DM round to the one your DD would love? The point of a gift is to bring joy to the recipient, after all…

I saw someone mention IKEA earlier, I’m assuming they too own this The pattern on it is in a deep/forest green, just in case it’s not clear on your screen. From some of what you’ve said it might fall under Too Subtle, but thought it was worth providing the option. (Is your DD still [of an age where she’s] interested in imaginary play? Because the wee green cats on this bedding set are the PERFECT size to “put” in your pocket & take on adventures with you. Those great things on the one your DM wouldn’t like would be taking you places, like Susan & Lucy on a domestic Aslan.)

By subtle I mean like the John Lewis one - nice, pretty but boring. But this has lots of character.

DD is still into imaginary play, very much so.

It's sold out online though.

Thanks OP, I’ve now gone on a Google mission to find a cat duvet when I should be getting on with so many other things 🙈 Plus there are a fair few I actually like myself but really shouldn’t be buying 😂

OK, I've sent my mum links to the Next "watermelon cats" one, the "hello cats" one on the gaming website and the Asda Space Cats one on eBay, so she can choose.

And I have the Dunelm £5 in my basket, off to have a look what else they have!

Bother, sorry @43leftfeet, it came up directly in my browser tab when I went to look for it so I didn’t see it was out of stock. I mean, it is adorbs (& a zip’s easier than faffing with buttons or even poppers!) but still, rude of people not to leave one for you!

(NB, I do not myself take my duvet cats about the place. They stay at home & play with my REAL cats when I’m out, obviously. I just know it’s exactly the game I’d’ve played when I was wee.)

@43leftfeet my sister has ordered several things from shein which have all been fine, no duvet covers though...

Do check the dispatch time though as sometimes things are from China and take a long time to come!
