To think cleaner should try not to clean in the room I am using

We've got a cleaner for the first time and she comes for a full day. I've noticed that she often ends up cleaning in whatever area I'm in - AIBU to tell her not to do that?

It's not like I expect her to be silent as a mouse but it's a bit annoying when I sit in the living room to call my mum and a couple of minutes later she appears with mop and hoover or DD decides she wants to play outside and within minutes there she is to noisily sweep the patio. I'm grateful for the work she does but it seems unnecessarily intrusive!

Oh dear, I'm sorry people thought my comment was rude. I just think there must be a very straightforward way to deal with it, ie just tell your cleaner, in a nice way, what you want her to do / not do. You are paying for her services, after all. Didn't mean to offend!

It's always winds me up when the gardener makes loads of noise mowing the lawn while I'm trying to sunbathe.

9/10 for effort and style of delivery.

I always went out when my cleaner came, but they weren't there a full day (2 hours per week, 4 bed house)

Probably best to communicate with her, I leave my house as soon as ours arrives and walk the dogs and visit my mum or grandad for a brew to keep out of the way. The one week my husband wasn't able to go into the office we asked her to leave the room he was working in. I am sure you can come up with something
