That’s it really…

OP posts:
Sparklesocks · 29/11/2021 18:59

I’d like to think so.
She’d probably be disappointed I didn’t marry Joshua Jackson though.

ICanSeeARainbow123 · 29/11/2021 19:02

Oh fuck no 😰

MiracleBaby2022 · 29/11/2021 19:03

Not at all

justaddcandlelight · 29/11/2021 19:03

At the current moment no, generally yes. I hope so.

Shmithecat2 · 29/11/2021 19:04

No

Blossomtoes · 29/11/2021 19:05

She’d be really disappointed. This isn’t what she planned.

NCsobroke · 29/11/2021 19:05

Life/family set up yeah mostly. She’d be appalled at the weight gain and horrible ageing though.

ShirleyPhallus · 29/11/2021 19:06

Yes, I think it’s actually a good reminder to be grateful for what you / one has achieved and where you’ve come from, it’s so easy to think “oh I’d be a bit happier if I earnt more / was a bit thinner etc etc” whereas it’s good to appreciate your lot and live in the moment.

FrazzledY9Parent · 29/11/2021 19:06

Yes I think she'd be pretty chuffed

Grin Joshua Jackson

prettypinkflamingo · 29/11/2021 19:06

Definately yes. My past self used to dream of a life as settled and calm as my current life.

ThirdElephant · 29/11/2021 19:06

Oh, ecstatic. I'm a functioning adult! She'd be relieved and impressed.

Heck, I parallel parked today, without much associated faff! She wouldn't have believed it possible, honestly.

FFSAllTheGoodNamesAreGone · 29/11/2021 19:07

Nope.

Yirk · 29/11/2021 19:08

No she would be very sad and disappointed.

buddhasbelly · 29/11/2021 19:08

Oh christ aye. Past self was an active alcoholic. Today's self is a sober one.

I got to put lights up today, and stack new loo rolls in the loo roll holder. Daft things I know.

I've been sober a fair while but sometimes the wee things I get to do now make me smile.

HardbackWriter · 29/11/2021 19:09

She'd be disgusted at how boring my life is, and a bit disappointed that I didn't achieve more career-wise, I think. She wouldn't believe that I could be fully satisfied being so domestic and small-scale (I think she'd be particularly horrified that I've moved back to my home town). She'd be wrong, though Smile

IVflytrap · 29/11/2021 19:09

Not in the slightest.

Rumplestrumpet · 29/11/2021 19:10

I think she'd be disappointed I didn't marry someone hotter but at aged 30 I realised hot men were very overrated Grin

Otherwise yes generally I think so.

LordoftheDanceSaidHe · 29/11/2021 19:10

She'd be gobsmacked she'd managed happiness beyond her wildest dreams. She'd be surprised that such a fuckup teenager could have a lovely life and meaningful work. She'd not be surprised that things with her Mum were still sketchy.

TheScenicWay · 29/11/2021 19:11

No. Life is too mundane and dull for the fun loving, social, energetic and adventurous younger me.

FallonCarringtonWannabe · 29/11/2021 19:11

3-5 years ago would be pleased.

10 years ago plus me would be disappointed.

Chikapu · 29/11/2021 19:11

Fuck no. She'd be appalled at the six-foot rut I've got myself into.

MorganSeventh · 29/11/2021 19:11

Yes, I think so. I followed my own path.

CreamFirstThenJamOnTop · 29/11/2021 19:11

Yes, I think she’d be amazed that I actually turned out ok and had a happy life.

SirChenjins · 29/11/2021 19:12

Yes - she’d be very happy with the way things have turned out. I wish I could tell her that everything would be fine and to stop worrying so much.

PyjamaFan · 29/11/2021 19:12

She would be happy that I've got a lovely DH, and a beautiful home in a great little town. I used to really think I would always be single.

She would be very surprised that we have a dog as I used to be scared of them.

She would probably be surprised too at the job I now do.

I think in general my young self would like my current life.
